November Meeting

Impact 6 Pack: Takeaways

Impact 6 Pack (I6P) is a series of facilitated workshops that help British Columbia’s up-and-coming entrepreneurs development robust impact strategies. During this program, Kristy O’Leary (Cove Continuity Advisors) and Meg O’Shea (Vancouver Economic Commission) navigate a small cohort of entrepreneurs through the intricate process of impact planning, while also providing insight on effective communication and networking. Experts from successful impact businesses - a.k.a. B Corps and the B Corp-ish! – add value to the cohort by sharing their knowledge, expertise and passion for the rising inclusive economy.

Kristy and Meg will be discussing the program’s key-takeaways, new insights on impact planning, and how series like I6P support the B Economy, climate action and the redefinition of value. The Impact 6 Pack series highlights local partnerships and aims to help catalyze the B Corp movement in British Columbia through brand awareness.

I6P is hosted by the Vancouver Economic Commission, in partnership with Cove Continuity Advisors and BDC.

LOCO BC: BC Buy Local Week

LOCO BC has been very active in their interest and support of our B Corp community, as seen when they offered B Corp employees 20% off of the ticket price to their recent community event, City of Vancouver: All Party Meeting on Small Business. This meeting will be an excellent opportunity to explore future collaborations with them to potentially strengthen the B Economy. For example, the upcoming BC Buy Local Week may be an excellent time to raise awareness of Canadian B Corps and assist local businesses in the integration of them into their supply chain. Hopefully we'll get lots of great ideas circulating!
